This card gains ATK equal to half of the total ATK of other monsters you control, then place 1 counter on this card, also your opponent's monsters cannot target your other monsters for an attack for the rest of the turn
Then you can cast it prior if it's an instant, so if someone goes to counter your Commander when you cast it and you have no counters in hand to counter back, you might draw it
